CHALLENGES & STRUCTURE

Challenges

Our members’ business model is based on national registrations derived through zonal registration or mutual recognition, supported by complete data packages covering the active substances and the formulations.

This clearly differentiates our model from the parallel trade, as defined in Article 52 of Regulation 1107/2009.

Structure

Founded in 1993, ECCA, a non-profit industry association comprised of SMEs, represents the interests of the independent European post-patent crop protection industry.

The member companies regularly meet in the General Assembly meetings and ECCA members fora where they actively liaise over topical issues and ongoing business.

The daily affairs are run by a Board of Directors, appointed from among the members.

A regulatory steering group closely monitors a series of issues needing particular attention.
