Today was a productive and learned day for the ECCA Board and Secretariat in Brussels – packed with meetings with the European Commission about the role and value of a vibrant post-patent crop protection industry in Europe. Throughout the discussions with many different DGs we were able to highlight the key role that our members play in supporting the profitability of farmers and stimulating innovation through constructive competition.
In the same light, we were able to raise our concerns concerning the obstacles our sector faces, especially regarding access to data of post-patent active ingredients.
Earlier this week, ECCA’s Board meeting was held reviewing the Association’s strategy, growth and aligning with members’ priorities.
